Statement of Faith

What we believe at Living Life in Abundance Ministry

Our Foundation

At LLIAM, our beliefs are rooted in the Word of God and grounded in the historic Christian faith. We hold to these essential truths that unite us as believers and guide our ministry to children and families in Uganda.

The following statements represent the core doctrines that shape our identity, inform our practices, and inspire our service.

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

— 1 Peter 3:15

One God

We believe that there is one God, creator of heaven and earth, eternally existent in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one."

— Deuteronomy 6:4

God's Love & Sovereignty

We believe in the love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son..."

— John 3:16

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative word of God.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."

— 2 Timothy 3:16

Salvation

We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."

— Acts 4:12

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory.

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."

— 1 Timothy 2:5

Evangelism

We believe that the ministry of evangelism is the responsibility of both the church and each Christian.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

— Matthew 28:19

Resurrection & Judgment

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved to the resurrection of life and those who are lost to the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."

— 2 Corinthians 5:10

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses..."

— Acts 1:8

The Foundation of Our Faith

We believe in one God, creator of heaven and earth, eternally existent in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that salvation comes only through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, rose bodily, and will return in power and glory.

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost.
