How a heartbeat for one child grew into a ministry for hundreds
What started as a personal life inspiration and the passion to "Pay it forward"; little did Joy know that God had planned the birth of LLIAM (Living Life in Abundance Ministry).
After Joy graduated from University and earned her very first job; she knew it was time to help at least one needy Child get the chance to go to school like she did. LLIAM wasn't anywhere in the picture but before Joy knew, she was helping 2, then 5 with either school fees, a few books and pens or just a meal—and Joy just couldn't stop the heart beat for the many despairing Children in her community who just needed the chance to education and be able to see beyond the daily struggles of life in poverty.
Fresh out of university with her first job, Joy could have spent her income on herself. Instead, she felt a divine stirring—a heartbeat for the children in her community who lacked the opportunities she had received.
What began as helping one child with school fees soon became two, then five. A few books here, a meal there. Joy couldn't ignore the faces of children who just needed a chance—a chance to see beyond the daily struggles of poverty and dream of a different future.
"Before Joy knew it, God was growing something far bigger than she had imagined—a ministry that would touch hundreds of lives."
The seed was planted. The vision was clear. But the full picture was still unfolding.
In 2011, Living Life in Abundance Ministry (LLIAM) was birthed with a Mission to transform lives, Restore relationships and change the communities served in Uganda with the abundant love of Jesus Christ—until today that is our main goal.
"To transform lives, restore relationships and change the communities served in Uganda with the abundant love of Jesus Christ."
Bringing hope to the most vulnerable children in Uganda
Providing access to quality education for orphaned, street, and vulnerable children who otherwise couldn't afford school.
Ensuring children receive nutritious meals, because hungry children cannot learn or thrive.
Providing safe, family-like homes for orphaned, abandoned, and abused children.
Access to medical care, regular check-ups, and health education for children and families.
Nurturing faith and character development through biblical teaching and mentorship.
Restoring the hope and dignity of every child, showing them they are loved and valued.
Every child's life transformed begins with someone like you who cared enough to help.
